Nag Tibba trek should be the one thing you should cross soon from your ‘treks to do in winter’ list. The Nag Tibba trek is a beginner level trek and even expert trekkers would have a nice time trekking, for the view from the top is mesmerizing. Nag Tibba trek has quite a mythical significance and the word ‘Nag Tibba’ Itself means Serpent’s Peak. This part of the Himalayan region is influenced by the ‘Nag-Devta’ or Serpent god and locals do worship the Serpent god. Especially at the time when they want their Cattle to flourish. Nag Tibba trek is famous for camping and as a trekking destination situated in the midst of the Himalayan region. There is also a temple situated at the highest point of the Nag Tibba Summit and the view from there is something you would want to capture for life. The best time to visit Nag Tibba is from April to June and from October to February, which is the preferred summer and winter months for the trek respectively. Winter has a surreal kind of adventure in these mountains and summers, in these mountains, have its different essence, try both to experience Nag Tibba trek at its best.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Dehradun to Pantwari village and trek to Base Camp
  • Pick up from Prince chowk near Dehradun Railway station at 6:00 AM.
  • A 90 km road ride to Pantwari village from Dehradun crossing the city of Muss0orie & Kempty Falls. Breakfast will be provided in the road side inns. The meal cost during the course of travel will be paid by the individual.
  • Arrival at Pantwari village, followed by lunch at the village. A 4 km trek gradual ascent to the campsite. 
  • Evening snacks and refreshments in the evening.
  • Dinner at the campsite.
Day 2 - Base camp to Nag Tibba and back to Pantwari to Dehradun
  • Early excursion to Nag Tibba top at 5 a.m.
  • A 4 km ascend trek to summit of medium grade.
  • Carry 1 litre of water individually as the trail is deprived of water streams.
  • Reach at Nag Tibba top and stay there for a while.
  • Excursion back to Pantwari village from the top via camp.
  • Lunch at Pantwari village followed by 90 km drive back to Dehradun.
  • Expected time of arrival in Dehradun 9.p.m
